  • Santiago Martin, Jr.

    Cal Ag Resources, Inc.

    President / Farm Labor Contractor

Born in Bakersfield, California, in 1982, the first son of Santiago & Rosemary Martin, Santiago, Jr. spent most of his childhood working, just like his father. When he wasn’t in school, he worked in the packing sheds and on the farms of Kern and Tulare Counties.

Once he graduated from high school, he attended UC San Diego, where he earned his BS degree in Management Science. After working in the fields, Santiago, Jr. had a deep appreciation for the hard work that it took to run a ranch. He also realized that the business end of farming was changing fast. With mounting government regulations, concerns regarding human resources, and movements towards more stringent food safety requirements impacting agricultural and dairy businesses like never before, Santiago, Jr. knew the farmer needed a single-source partner with the experience, dedication, and comprehensive solutions to implement a management program that would protect the farmer and his business while keeping in compliance.

In order to achieve this goal, Santiago, Jr. founded Cal Ag Resources, Inc. in 2009 for the purpose of offering personnel management for agriculture throughout the Kings and Kern county areas.
